On the night of this Monday, February 19, it was learned that the former congressman and current president of Icetex will leave his position as of next Friday in February. In a letter addressed to President Gustavo Petro, Toro argues that the reasons for his departure are merely “personal.”
It was unofficially known that the political scientist had been thinking about this decision since December of last year, however, it was not until today that he decided on it. Likewise, in the letter sent to the Colombian president, Toro explains the achievements of his administration, making it clear that he fulfilled what he promised.
“We achieved the largest reduction in the added rate in our loans. We went from rates from CPI+12%, reducing them to CPI+2%, supporting our young people in times of high inflation!”
