New Recruitment Process in Yuzhou City Uses Quantitative Distribution to Select Soldiers

In a groundbreaking move aimed at scientifically and accurately selecting soldiers, the Recruitment Office of Yuzhou City, Henan Province has implemented a new process of quantitative distribution. This innovative approach assigns points based on the quality of each individual, allowing them to choose their preferred destination based on their performance.

According to reports from China National Defense News, young applicants in Yuzhou City participated in a recruitment meeting where they were evaluated based on 41 indicators such as academic qualifications, political outlook, special skills, physical conditions, and psychological quality. These “double qualified” applicants were then assigned quantitative points, with the top performers being able to choose their desired destination in the army.

Wang Pengju, a “double qualified” young recruit, shared his experience of being able to join the strategic support force due to his high ranking in the quantitative assessment of comprehensive quality. This new system aims to better select outstanding talents, especially among college graduates who make up the majority of the applicants.

Parents of the young candidates have expressed support for this new approach, noting that it eliminates biases and ensures a fair and just process. Additional points are awarded to candidates with special qualifications, such as national-level athlete certificates, further enhancing the selection process.

The recruitment office in Yuzhou City has taken the lead in organizing various departments to communicate and study the policy documents related to quantitative recruitment. By ensuring that the quantitative evaluation aligns with the needs of the army, the office aims to select the most suitable candidates to meet the demands of modern warfare.

The use of quantitative assignments in the soldier selection process is seen as a step towards greater transparency and objectivity. By reducing the influence of human factors and allowing data to speak for itself, the recruitment office hopes to make troop selection decisions more scientific and accurate.

The new recruitment process has been well-received by both applicants and their parents, with many praising the fair and efficient nature of the selection process. As the city continues to refine and improve its recruitment procedures, it is expected that more young individuals will be able to pursue their desired career paths in the military.
