The search continues for a woman swept away by the Pereira River

In the Pereira River, located in the municipality of La Paz, Cesar, the search is underway for a woman identified as Nohelis Paola De La Cruz Yanez, 32 years old, who was swept away by the strong current of this flow that is swollen due to the heavy rains that hit this region of the country.
The events began on Wednesday afternoon, when this person was with his romantic partner and they prepared to cross the tributary holding an improvised rope, apparently placed by the community that takes this path to reach the plots. .

According to Edward Ortega Zuleta, a member of the La Paz Fire Department, the community notified them at 7:00 p.m. last Tuesday, so they began the search early this Thursday.

“We have learned that this woman’s partner managed to pass, but when she was halfway through the river, which is not deep, but the water is very strong, she was swept away. We continue in these search efforts with the support of the Urumita Fire Department,” the official indicated.
