The historic center of San Salvador continues to be a clear example of the efforts and strategies used by the government to develop and modernize the country. As part of this work, the Municipal Works Directorate (DOM) began the second phase of the underground wiring project, connections for electrical distribution networks and telecommunications.
With this second phase, work is carried out in three main sectors: Rubén Darío Street, from Bolívar Park, on 15th and 25th Avenue South, the second, on 25th Avenue South from 6th, 10th to 1st Poniente Street, as well as from the opposite corner of Cuscatlán Park to the Rosales National Hospital and the third section between the 1º de Mayo Maternal and Child Hospital of the Salvadoran Social Security Institute and Plaza de la Salud.
So far, 120 boxes have been built for primary and secondary electricity lines and around 60 wells for telecommunications wiring.
This important project, which began last year, has allowed us to recover a large part of the urban landscape of the Historic Center, in addition to recovering important roads such as the sector from the Hula Hula market, Rubén Darío street to Simón Bolívar park.
Within the framework of this work, the DOM works from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and from 8:00 pm to 4:00 am without closing the streets.
