VAL DI ZOLDO. The forest fire in Soffranco is in progress: provincial road 251 closes. You cannot reach Zoldo, except through the Passi: Duran, Cibiana and Staulanza.

There is the danger of boulders falling on the road, and for this reason, on the evening of today, Wednesday 16 March, the Sp 251 was closed in Soffranco. The road will remain closed to transit at least for the whole of tomorrow morning.

The couriers will not provide service, so those who live in Val di Zoldo will necessarily have to travel with their own means to go down to the valley. Workers and students have no alternatives: they will have to lengthen the journey a lot, overcoming one of the passes that put the Zoldano in communication with the rest of the province.

Tomorrow morning, Mayor Camillo De Pellegrin announces, the helicopter will intervene to continue the extinguishing operations. On the spot, recalls the regional councilor Gianpaolo Bottacin, the garrison is constant.
