As the Spring Festival approaches, the city of Jinghong is bustling with preparations for the traditional Chinese holiday. Supermarkets and shopping malls are fully stocked with all kinds of New Year’s goods, creating a festive atmosphere for the upcoming celebrations.

In anticipation of the holiday, major supermarkets have already started implementing their Spring Festival mode. At Daxing Liangmao Ford Store, a special New Year’s goods area has been set up at the entrance, showcasing a variety of festive items such as candies, nuts, and specialty gift bags. Store manager Yu Wanming stated that the supermarket has made full preparations based on consumers’ needs and preferences, stocking more gift box items than in previous years and offering a wider variety of New Year pendants.

In addition to supermarkets preparing for the holiday, citizens are also eagerly purchasing New Year’s goods to welcome the new year. Ms. Bao, a local resident, expressed her excitement for the holiday, stating that she purchases dried fruits, drinks, candies, couplets, and lanterns in advance to share with relatives and friends during the festive season.

The Spring Festival, also known as Chinese New Year, is a time for bidding farewell to the old and welcoming the new, as well as for reunion and harmony. With the abundant supplies and festive atmosphere in the city, residents are surely ready to celebrate the arrival of the new year.
