Sudanese Net:

The Sudanese Ministry of the Interior revealed that it had taken a package of legal measures to control the unregulated foreign presence following the outbreak of the current war, and the influx of large numbers of them and their participation in the ongoing war between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Militia, through acts of sabotage and attacks on public and private property in Khartoum State, in addition to carrying weapons. Noting that the state has taken a number of measures to review the civil registry to arrest violators of illegally obtaining Sudanese citizenship.

The Sudanese Interior Ministry announced the launch of a workshop on controlling foreign presence and reviewing identity, next Tuesday, with the participation of experts, specialists, legal experts, and media figures, in which four working papers will be presented, at the General Intelligence Service building in Port Sudan, and will continue until Thursday.

Police Major General Sami Al-Siddiq, Chairman of the Supreme Committee of the workshop, revealed in a press conference held today, Sunday, at the Police House in Port Sudan, the tightening of procedures related to the Sudanese identity and the accountability of those involved in granting it to foreigners and manipulating its sale, noting that the Police Law is a deterrent law that holds accountable any officer or individual who made a mistake in granting it. The identity card belongs to a foreigner and that he will be held accountable and referred to the public interest. He added that anyone who made a mistake in granting the identity card will be held accountable. He added that we will not be complacent again in the issue of obtaining the identity card, whether it is on the recommendation of a minister or a politician. We will not be kind to anyone who comes from a minister or politician while we are sitting in his throat. He added by saying We made a mistake in dealing with the refugees from South Sudan, and we were harmed by their participation in the war and their use of advanced weapons as soldiers. He continued by saying that the issue of the foreign presence needs a special stance by the security and governmental agencies, to legalize its presence as it is related to state sovereignty and national security, and that the foreign presence still exists. In Khartoum and some states, describing this as a serious matter, Sami stressed that the unregulated foreign presence has environmental and health harms due to the entry of immigrants from the African country carrying diseases and behaviors that do not resemble the Sudanese people, noting that the value of the Sudanese identity before the war was being forged at an amount of 5 billion pounds by Sudanese citizens. ,, Expressing regret that those manipulating the Sudanese identity allowed the entry of millions of displaced foreigners.

For his part, Salah al-Din Police Major General Adam Omar stressed the necessity of the ruling on granting identity, pointing out that this damned war is an opportunity for Sudan to benefit from the world’s experiences to analyze the internal environment and leave differences aside to make Sudan first.
