Severe Weather Alert: Freezing Rain and Snow Hit Several Provinces in China

China News Service reported on February 26 that the Central Meteorological Observatory has issued warnings for light snow or sleet in Qinghai, Gansu, Anhui, Jiangxi, and freezing rain in Guizhou, Hunan, and other provinces. Additionally, temperatures are expected to drop significantly in southern China over the next three days, with cold air affecting central and eastern regions from the 28th to March 1.

In Guizhou, Hunan, Guangxi, and other areas, temperatures are expected to be 5 to 7°C lower than normal, with some regions experiencing even greater temperature drops. The Central Meteorological Observatory has issued low-temperature warnings in anticipation of the cold spell.

The southern regions of China will also experience rainy weather, with light to moderate rain and sleet in various parts from the 26th to the 29th. Central and eastern Inner Mongolia, northern North China, and Northeast China will see light to moderate snow during this time.

Residents in these areas are advised to take precautions against the impact of rain, snow, and low temperatures on transportation, energy supply, and agricultural production during the upcoming Spring Festival period. Stay updated on weather alerts and advisories to ensure safety and preparedness.
