The witness to Beatrice Saviane: candidacy in the name of the father

by admin

The daughter of the deceased Northern League senator, 21, will race at the Municipal in Alpago. “He was an example, I’ll carry on his ideas”

BELLUNO. A father educates, accompanies, transmits teachings that help his son to extricate himself in the world. Sometimes, it even transfers a passion. Paolo Saviane did it, with his daughter Beatrice who has been a member of the Lega for a couple of years, is part of the Youth Movement and will be a candidate in the municipal elections in Alpago in October. He chose to run with the mayoral candidate Alberto Peterle.

Even dad Paolo started like this: by running (he for mayor) for the Municipality of Alpago in 1995, when there were still five well-divided administrations in the Conca. In the electoral program he put the merger of municipalities, which became a reality a few years later.

“My father introduced me to politics and the League,” says Beatrice, twenty-one, an economics student at the university. Senator Saviane also had another daughter, who had made him a grandfather a few months ago.

«Two years ago I got my card for the first time and I joined the Youth Movement. It is thanks to him that I have approached politics ».

EXPERIENCES

Beatrice is moved when she remembers the experiences she had with a father who left too soon. The trips by car, to participate in the events of the League, to live the passion that now belonged to both, at the service of the territory and its communities.

“He always inspired me, in everything he did,” he continues. «It is thanks to him that I developed this passion and if I decided to run for the municipal elections in Alpago. I would have liked to share this path with him, but unfortunately I will not be able to have his support … ».

THE BEGINNINGS

The passion for politics was born a few years ago in the very young Beatrice. After all, in the Saviane house there was politics: not only Paolo was there, also his partner Daniela Coden had administrative experience, as deputy mayor of Chies d’Alpago from 2009 to 2014.

“I remember that she came to the Gal headquarters when I was president,” says Alberto Peterle, who will race to become mayor in Alpago in October and who has a long past as an administrator. “She accompanied her father and stopped for a long time with the secretary to ask for information, to understand how that institution worked. A few months ago we met and he asked me if he could participate in the list, giving his contribution ». Despite her age, Beatrice immediately appeared very determined. And Peterle has accepted her on the list, for a challenge that promises to be not easy.

TEACHINGS

“Dad taught me a lot,” resumes his daughter. «I hope to be able to carry on a bit of what he has done, of his projects, of that love for the territory that he passed on to me. This is also why I decided to apply: my dad taught me the values of good politics, to spend oneself on others because the important thing is to always aim to do good. He was a good man. He attached great importance to this aspect, and I hope to be able to do the same ».

Continuity

It is too early to even start thinking about proxies, because elections and preferences are involved, but Beatrice Saviane has many interests. And it could spend it in the administrative field. She studies economics, she likes numbers and budgets, but she is also very interested in culture and youth policies.

Papa Paolo lost the elections in 1995, and began his experience in the city council from the opposition benches. Now the young Beatrice will continue the tradition, following her father’s teachings.
