The Attorney General’s Office prosecuted two men who, in independent acts, had sexually abused two minors in the municipalities of Arauca (Arauca) and Cubará (Boyacá).
A man who allegedly had access to his stepdaughter, at a time when he was left alone with her, was prosecuted for the crime of sexual acts with a minor under 14 years of age. These events occurred in Cubará (Boyacá), with the most recent attack being on October 17, 2023.
The man was captured on April 25 by the National Police during a search and advance control operation in that municipality. The Prosecutor’s Office charged him with the crime of sexual acts with a minor under 14 years of age.
Stepfather captured in Arauca
On April 23, a man who allegedly sexually abused his stepdaughter for three years was arrested in Arauca. The Prosecutor’s Office established that the sexual harassment began in April 2020, when the girl was 8 years old; and were extended until September 27, 2023.
The Prosecutor’s Office charged the investigated person with the crime of abusive sexual intercourse with a minor under 14 years of age and sexual acts with a minor under 14 years of age, both aggravated.
Judges with guarantee control functions supported the arguments of the investigating entity and sent the defendants to prison.
