Under investigation is the case in which a female soldier was injured by a firearm impact, apparently a rifle, in the military canton of La Popa in Valledupar.
The soldier was identified as Dayanna Michel Larran Guerra, who is providing military service in the Tenth Armored Brigade, assigned to surveillance and support tasks in the La Popa Battalion, where the events occurred last Saturday night.
The shot affected the left region of the thorax with an entry and exit hole, however, his health is delicate.
According to the police report, the victim was in one of her activities assigned by her superiors, in the back of the Battalion, when another regular soldier attacked her with the firearm.
Regarding the reasons for this attack, the authorities have not provided official information, beyond what was previously stated, without giving further details of what motivated the soldier to shoot.
However, it emerged that the aggressor soldier allegedly tried to persuade and force the female soldier to maintain some type of closeness or encounter with him, to which she reportedly refused, bringing the shot with the firearm.
