ALTO PARANÁ (special envoy) A tax and police delegation carried out a raid on a “false police station”, where a scheme to defraud Taiwanese citizens was set up. It occurred in the town of Minga Guazú, department of Alto Paraná.

This is a continuation of the investigation of an alleged punishable act of fraud. In that sense, this Monday a raid was carried out in the city of Minga Guazú.

In this regard, prosecutor Alcides Giménez commented to 1080 AM that the entire case originated in Taiwan based on information that was transmitted to the Paraguayan authorities, following up on uniforms and license plates from that country.

During the procedure, a safe was seized, clothing and badges with POLICE inscription with numbers, identification plates with CHINA POLICE inscription, cellular devices, notebook, projector, router, signs and posters with inscription in Mandarin Chinese and various documents that They are related to the cause investigated, among other evidence.

Likewise, he mentioned that all those involved so far are Asian, but no person was inside the raided house during the procedure.

The procedure was carried out by personnel from the Department Against Organized Crime – Alto Paraná Regional, under the direction of the Public Ministry.
