An employee of the Solid Waste unit of the municipal mayor’s office of Santa Ana was trapped this morning in his extremities by a garbage collection truck in which he provided services.
The worker, whose name was not provided, was rescued by members of Cruz Verde Salvadoreña, who had to use hydraulic and electrical equipment to free him from the mechanical shovel.
The truck was collecting solid waste around the Oscar Quiteño stadium, in Santa Ana.
First responders from Cruz Verde, Firefighters and other institutions arrived at the scene.
“The trapped person was successfully freed and taken to a care center,” Cruz Verde confirmed in response to this event.
