Florida Resident Wins US$1M in Powerball Lottery Drawing

A lucky resident of Florida is celebrating after winning a million-dollar prize in the latest Powerball lottery drawing. Although the grand prize of US$511 million remained unclaimed on March 9, the Sunshine State produced a winner with the winning numbers 30, 36, 49, 52, 63, and the red powerball 16.

Across the country, three players matched the five white ball numbers, with winners in Ohio, New York, and another lucky resident in Florida, who will be taking home US$1 million. The winning ticket was sold at the City Food Mart convenience store in Haines City, Polk County.

As excitement builds for the next Powerball drawing on March 11, with a jackpot of US$535 million, players are reminded to purchase a ticket for US$2 and select five numbers between 1 and 69 for the white balls, along with one number between 1 and 25 for the red powerball. The overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 24.9, with the odds of hitting the jackpot at 1 in 292.2 million.

Winners have the option to receive the jackpot prize either in 30 annuities or as a single cash payment, which is a smaller amount. The cash value option is determined by the amount in the jackpot prize pool on the day of the drawing.

The excitement continues to grow as the Powerball jackpot remains up for grabs, offering players the chance to win big with every ticket purchased.
