The eclipses of 2024

Astronomy fans will be very aware of the eclipses that occur this year, however, if they want to witness them directly, they will have to travel a lot since only one will be visible from Colombia. These are the dates on which they will take place, the type of eclipse and the location from which they can be enjoyed:

April 20: Mixed solar eclipse. Visible as mixed in: Indonesia, Australia and Papua New Guinea. It will be visible as partial in Southeast Asia, Australia, the Philippines and New Zealand. May 5: Penumbral lunar eclipse. Eclipse visible in Africa, Asia and Australia. October 14: Annular Solar Eclipse. The eclipse will be visible as an annular in the western United States, Central America, Colombia and Brazil. It will be visible as partial in all of America except its southern tip. October 28: Partial lunar eclipse. Eclipse visible in eastern America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia.
