With the purpose of accompanying citizens in a close manner and guaranteeing surveillance throughout the country, the National Police of all Colombians will implement the “Holy Week in Family” Security and Mobility Plan.

In developing the plan, which aims to invite people to share these days of reflection with their loved ones, five strategic lines were defined to protect the integrity of everyone during this time as follows:

CITIZEN SECURITY

More than 3,000 police officers will strengthen security devices in the municipalities that are traditionally visited during Semana Mayor. Through differential activities, they will work to prevent events that affect citizen security such as theft and homicide.

ROAD SAFETY

In the Safe Routes that were defined through the Directorate of Transit and Transportation in Cesar, there will be a deployment of campaigns, plans, awareness and orientation programs for national and foreign tourists who travel to all tourist destinations in this area. department.

A continuous police service will be installed at tolls and national roads, with the exodus plan and return plan as a priority, where a greater influx of vehicles is estimated throughout the country. With initiatives such as road safety captains, external friend plan, motorcycle-skills, the National Police will call on road actors to reduce road accidents.

The Directorate of Protection and Special Services will lead control and surveillance activities in the different tourist environments, mainly religious ones, to prevent unfortunate events that tarnish these holy days.

Capacities have been articulated with the Criminal Investigation Section to identify and capture those responsible for the main crimes committed during the season, such as scams through virtual media and thefts from residences.

PROTECTION OF BOYS, GIRLS AND ADOLESCENTS

Aware that the future of our department runs different risks due to criminal actors, the National Police’s priority is to defend the integrity of Children and Adolescents.

For this, community management actions will be carried out focused on the “Open Your Eyes” program that seeks to prevent crimes that affect children, such as, for example, domestic violence.

PROTECTION OF FAUNA, FLORA AND NATURAL RESOURCES

Tourist and ecclesiastical environments, road axes, transport, land and river terminals have been prioritized, where preventive and operational controls will be carried out in favor of the conservation of natural resources.

The Carabineros Directorate will advance plans aimed at capturing people who sell wild species in the department of Cesar.

COMMITMENT SIGNATURE

At the launch of this strategy, a commitment was signed that includes components of prevention and reaction to crime and measures on the road, with all the entities involved to safeguard the lives of travelers and bring the number of road accidents on the roads to zero. del Cesar, during this time that represents a challenge in terms of mobility.

Likewise, from the Cesar Departmental Institute of Traffic and Transportation, three critical road sections in accidents were identified, the Bosconia-Río Ariguaní section, San Roque-La Paz and San Alberto-La Mata, which are the obligatory steps for those who come from the interior of the country; These three nerve points will be permanently controlled.

According to the commander of the Departmental Police, Colonel Eduardo Chamorro Pinzón, this strategy includes five fundamental axes focused on road safety, citizen security, tourism, environmental protection and protection of children and adolescents.
