Sharks of La Guaira became the first qualifier for the grand final of the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP) after achieving 10 victories in the Round Robin.
According to what was reported in Líder en Deportes, given this fact, the general manager of the Salados, Alberto Díaz, stated that his main objective for the next round will be to strengthen the pitching.
“We did a job with our heart, with ethics and with a commitment to the fans. We tell them that after 37 years, their time has come,” Díaz said after the meeting for Beisbol Play.
“We put together an incredible group. From the presidency, management and all the scouts who are lost from sight,” added the general manager of the Tiburones de La Guaira.
The president of the Sharks, Elías Saba, assured that they are constantly looking for ways to improve the team’s performance in order to maintain the good streak and control on the diamond.
“Day by day we look for a way for this team to achieve the objective, which is none other than to achieve the four victories (in the final) that we need to please this fan base,” he said.
“We are going to celebrate 38 years without seeing a title. This is a fan who deserves so much more. And this board of directors is not going to rest until we achieve that goal,” he concluded..
