Without a doubt, La Macarena is one of the most attractive tourist municipalities in the department of Meta, since there is also the Sierra de La Macarena National Natural Park, declared a Sanctuary of Flora and Fauna, which has an infinite natural wealth where its own and tourists from anywhere in the world will be able to enjoy great adventures.
For this reason, Cormacarena, as the protective authority of the natural resources of Meta, invites tourists to visit tourist sites and follow certain recommendations. First of all, verify availability with authorized travel agencies, in order to be able to enjoy all the natural jewels and check the entry capacity, which allows you to process the permit to said protected area.
Otherwise, to get to La Macarena there are two ways, one is by air from the cities of Bogotá, Medellín, Cali and Villavicencio by the airlines Satena and Clic, and by land from the municipality of Neiva (Huila), passing through Florencia (Caquetá) and later to San Vicente del Caguán. Likewise, the Corporation recommends carrying a valid identification document, social security and accident insurance and also having the yellow fever vaccine.
