On April 23 of each year, Language Day is commemorated in honor of the Spanish writer Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, who died on this date in 1616.

UNESCO recognized the importance of Spanish by declaring it one of the organization’s six official languages in 2009., highlighting its global influence and contribution to cultural diversity. Furthermore, Spanish is a romantic language that comes from Latin and has a great diversity of dialects that reflect the richness and variety of the Spanish-speaking world.
