Highway 50 will close for two months for the safety of the bridge, the time schedule being defined. It should take three weeks to clear Col Cavalier

BELLUNO. The historical significance of the artifact will force an intervention very similar to the one seen in 2019 in Ponte nelle Alpi on the Santa Caterina bridge. The roadway will be slightly enlarged and the walls will be consolidated. It will take at least two months, during which no vehicle will be able to pass on the bridge. Highway 50 will therefore be interrupted.

Faster intervention, on the other hand, is the one planned in via Col Cavalier, where three weeks should be enough to resolve the failure on the roadway that climbs towards Castion. The section undergoing work will be the one located just before the junction for the Anconetta, and this is the alternative road system that will become indispensable during the works. It seems that it will be enough to establish an alternate sense for the cars, downhill. Those who have to reach Castion from the valley, on the other hand, will have to arrive at the Anconetta and then take via Castelet. Buses included.

“In fact, Dolomitibus must also be involved”, confirms the councilor for public works, Biagio Giannone. The goal would be to carry out the works by the end of the mandate, even if “the only thing that matters is the good of the city. Do the jobs when you can », Giannone explains. Which next week is expected by important leaders with the municipal offices to plan all the funded interventions that must be launched during the year.

In addition to making the Veneggia bridge and via Col Cavalier safe, there are asphalts, the cycle-pedestrian path in Oltrevalle (via Meassa), the extension of public lighting in via Meassa and via Nongole in Castion, the cycle-pedestrian path in via Tiziano Vecellio. The work for the lake on the Nevegal is more complex: the Municipality has won the funds to build it, but the whole authorization part must be addressed before the work can be built and it will take time.

“We have many jobs scheduled and in the last months that separate us from the elections we want to plan them”, concludes Giannone, “in order to leave a precise planning to the next administration for the financed works”.
