TREVISO. After the last two editions “moved” in late summer, due to the pandemic, Treviso plays Jazz Festival is ready to return to old and good habits. The review promoted by the association Urban Contemporarywith the artistic direction of Nicola Bortolanza and the partnership of The Tribuna of Treviso and the Venetian newspapers of Gedi Groupwarm up the engines in view of its eighth edition: from 25 to 29 May the city will be transformed into a real open-air theater with some of the most interesting top jazz artists at national and international level.

The well-established business card of the festival is the happy combination of music and “other” places, to combine music and art with taste (cinema in primis), consolidating the now symbiotic relationship with Steffani Conservativesof Castelfranco and Venezze di Rovigo (as well as with the Treviso association Manzato) and making the stalls of the clubs the places of outdoor jazz par excellence. The bill is not yet defined in detail, however we can anticipate some very important names that will be guests of the festival.

Uri Caineone of the most prestigious jazz pianists of recent decades, will take the stage of the Teatro Del Monaco Saturday 28 May. Caine, from the United States, is a true eclectic of the instrument capable of escaping any kind of cataloging and transporting the public, every time, on a new and exciting sonic journey: from Beethoven to rock, from the beloved Mahler, Wagner and Gershwin to swing and to nu jazz, passing through Bach and black music, Schumann and folk.

Antonello Salis and SimoneZanchini
