The May Day march in Trieste this year was characterized by repeated clashes between trade unionists and the No Green pass and also between the latter and the police. The first tensions, which immediately turned into physical clashes, occurred at the start of the march, where about four thousand people with union flags had converged. It was precisely the trade unions that were targeted by a No Green pass group, criticized for not defending the workers who had decided to challenge the measures adopted by the government. The No vaxes tried to prevent the march from advancing and the first physical contacts took place. Only the intervention of the police and carabinieri prevented the situation from escalating by keeping the groups separate.
