During the Ordinary Plenary Session No. 139, the deputies of the Legislative Assembly approved with 67 votes in favor, the twenty-second extension of the validity of the Exception Regime.
In this sense, the representative of the Cyan Bank, Ana Figueroa, stated: «We will once again extend the #ExceptionRegime. This is a measure applied in our country without international interference. The results have been successful and it has positioned us as the safest nation in Latin America.”
Thanks to the implementation of the Exception Regime, El Salvador has managed to remove the gangs from the streets that for years, under the protection of previous administrations, instilled terror and pain in the Salvadoran population.
Furthermore, the success of the security measure has allowed the nation to become an international benchmark, being replicated in other countries to combat crime.
