The governor of Arauca, Renson Martínez Prada, celebrated and recognized the inter-institutional work between the national, departmental and local governments and social and community organizations to advance towards Total Peace with Higher Education.
Officials from the ministerial and departmental cabinet, senators, local authorities and community leaders, visited the grounds of the Parque de la Vida, property of the Department, where 30 hectares are planned to build the University in multicampus mode that will have classrooms, a library, convention hall, workshop houses for Cultural and Artistic Training Schools, sports spaces, history museum academy, Forest of Life with water square, monument to the victims and craft sales module; among others.
“This is the best bet to build Territories of Peace in our beloved department, higher education is the best way to keep our young people away from the armed conflict that this region is experiencing,” said the governor of Arauca.
For his part, the Secretary of Departmental Education, Ariel Pedraza, assured that the permanent, intersectoral and interinstitutional Higher Education Table will continue in Bogotá in the coming weeks, to advance with the studies and designs of the university multicampus and with the review of the phase III that includes the Library and the Forest of Life.
