Less than 24 hours after the death of 18-year-old Lorenzo Parelli, who died in the province of Udine on the last day of school-work alternation, two other victims were registered on Saturday.
The first was in Busano, in the province of Turin, where a 58-year-old worker died this morning in an accident in a Silca warehouse, a company that has been operating in the hot forging sector for years. According to an initial reconstruction, the man – residing in Rivarolo Canavese – fell into the sandblaster: his colleagues dying to find him.
The second victim was registered in Pomezia, Rome, where a 65-year-old worker died instantly after falling from the roof of a warehouse.
Lorenzo Parrelli: manslaughter hypothesis
Meanwhile, the clamor for the death of the young Lorenzo, crushed by a metal bar on the last day of the internship at the Burimec di Lauzacco di Pavia di Udine, continues. The Public Prosecutor of Udine has in fact opened proceedings for the hypothesis of manslaughter against the legal representative of the company. This, explains the Prosecutor, is a necessary act to “carry out unrepeatable verification activities in the forms guaranteed by law, in order to achieve a complete reconstruction of the dynamics of the accident”.
At the moment, investigations are underway to identify any further profiles of responsibility also for other company figures. An autopsy on the young man’s body will probably be arranged in the next few days.
