Ukraine, Draghi: “Help immediately, our support for reception will not be lacking”

Aid is needed now. And our support for refugees and the countries that are welcoming them will not be lacking. Prime Minister Mario Draghi witnessed the departure from the Civil Protection hub of Palmanova (Udine) of four trucks with drugs and medical devices destined for Ukraine. Among the principals, also respirators and X-ray machines. The convoy, escorted by civil protection vehicles, is headed to Suceava in Romania. Here the material, which has come from different regions and collected in Palmanova, will be deposited in a hub and collected by Ukrainian vehicles. Naturally, the Italian premier specified, “the funds for refugees will be decided in the next European council, because this aid is needed now”. As regards, however, the issue of hospitality in Italy, Mario Draghi specified that there must be an alliance between “regions and municipalities”.
