Telethon and Ukraine, solidarity takes to the track: “The mountains are support and brotherhood”

Even the world of skiing, at times, knows how to marry noble causes, transforming sport into an instrument of solidarity. This is the case, for example, of La Thuile, which for years has organized a day every spring to support scientific research on rare genetic diseases.

The 12th edition of the ski day dedicated to the fundraising of the Telethon Foundation will be staged on Saturday 26 March. For the occasion, all over the area on the border with France you will be able to ski at a promotional rate: the daily ski pass will cost 35 euros instead of 43 and all those who stay overnight in La Thuile on Saturday night will be able to buy the ski pass for two consecutive days. at a cost of 70 euros (promotion valid only for purchases made at the physical cash desk on Saturday morning, upon presentation of the voucher issued by the hotel). For the occasion, the Piccolo San Bernardo cableways will donate part of the proceeds from the sale of day passes to the Telethon Foundation.

Also the Aosta Valley locality, on Saturday 2 April, will host another charity event: “A heat for Mototherapy” in favor of Vanni Oddera’s non-profit organization, one of the world‘s leading freestyle motocross exponents. It will be a non-competitive ski and snowboard race, giant slalom specialty. Also in this case, the proceeds from the registration will be destined to the development of mototherapy in pediatric hospitals, where the champion is very active with his electric motorbike, to give smiles and unique moments to children and children with physical and mental disabilities.

Always based on solidarity, but this time to support the Ukrainian population affected by the war, it is the initiative of the Trentino ski instructors, who took to the track with a fundraiser within the category. Each instructor is required to pay the fee for one hour of lessons, or in any case an amount of at least 50 euros: the invitation to join is open to all Trentino snow operators.

“The mountains have always been synonymous with solidarity and brotherhood”, declared the Association and the College of Ski Instructors of Trentino who are promoting the initiative. The contributions collected by 4 April will be entirely donated to the project set up by the Province of Trento in collaboration with the Civil Protection.
