Since this Friday, May 10, 2024, Lomé, the Togolese capital, has hosted an economic forum for business leaders and Christian executives.
Organized by the International Union of Christian Employers’ Associations of Africa (UNIAPAC-Africa), the meeting is placed under the theme “Christian leaders facing the challenges of integration and terrorism in Africa”. It aims to promote the vision and implementation of an economy serving the human person and the common good as well as the promotion of entrepreneurial activity as a noble vocation.
The participants, who are Christian business executives and leaders from Africa and Madagascar, will reflect and discuss for two days on business opportunities, networking and business partnership.
“This Lomé forum is a great opportunity for our business leaders but also for our youth to forge business links, ranging from partnership agreements to commercial representations through simple business relationships,” said indicated the 1st vice president UNIAPAC-Africa, Germain Tora.
Speaking about integration in Africa, the 1st vice president recalled that UNIAPAC-Africa presents this as a beneficial means of pooling the actions of Christian leaders around a common goal in order to achieve convincing results in key areas.
In fact, during this forum, reflections will be carried out in order to lay the foundations for the mobilization of Christian savings and reduce poverty. “The personalities who are there will be able to study, look to see what are the strategies for mobilizing Christian savings to enable the establishment of African microfinance with the help of UNIAPAC and to be able to help disadvantaged social classes and also support the government in the socio-economic development of the country,” he stressed.
