In Gubbio pro reo
We, despite everything, continue to root for Elly Schlein. But every now and then she should give us a reason to do so. In Gubbio you said that “Meloni managed to surpass Berlusconi. This level of attacks on free and investigative journalism… not even at the time of the Bulgarian edicts. They will have to invent a new type of edicts, I don’t know, the Hungarian edicts…”. Free words, understandable in the mouth of one of the many centre-lefts who never made any real opposition to B., did not abolish a single law of shame, did not approve an antitrust or conflict of interest law, did not declare him ineligible, on the contrary they governed us with Monti, Letta and Draghi. But not in the mouth of Schlein, who for these reasons contested the Democratic Party in 2013 and left it in 2015 when Renzi completed his Berlusconization. If B. lasted 30 years it was because the “left” didn’t understand (or pretended not to understand) who he was. Now Schlein proves that she did not understand either who B. was or who Meloni is. In fact, she doesn’t lose a vote and the Democratic Party doesn’t gain one.
B. was one of the richest men in the world, a world record lawbreaker, a financier of the mafia, an affiliate of P2, an entrepreneur favored by all governments (those of the Caf, then his own and those of the “enemies” ), the boss of the most gigantic publishing empire in Europe, the owner of the most monumental conflict of interests in the West, a failed prisoner thanks to bought judges, witnesses and financiers and 80 laws to the person, a Guinness tax fraudster, a blackmailable and blackmailed whoremonger, someone who brought his lawyers, cronies, accomplices, Papi girls, corrupt people, corruptors (Previti), liaison officers with Cosa Nostra (Dell’ Utri and D’Alì), Camorra (Cosentino) and ‘Ndrangheta (Matacena and, according to the court conviction, Pittelli). With the Bulgarian edict, so called because it was issued in Sofia (what does Hungary have to do with it now?), as prime minister he ordered his Rai leaders to make the most famous living journalist, Biagi, the first TV presenter, Santoro, disappear and one of the best satirists, Luttazzi. Who, since they owned Mediaset and controlled La7, disappeared from all TV channels. Meloni&C., although allergic to satire and true journalism (like three-quarters of the Democratic Party: those who, as Renzians, kicked Gabanelli, Giannini, Giletti, Porro out of Rai and, as Lettians, wanted to get rid of Berlinguer and Orsini), not they purged no one. It’s not that they don’t try: it’s just that they’re incompetent at competing. They are B.s who didn’t make it. They must be fought, but to do so we need to know their nature and weak points. Marx said: “History always repeats itself twice: the first as a tragedy, the second as a farce”. This applies to the right, but unfortunately also to the left.
