The great satisfaction of the “Friends” of the valley: “These are the most important works of the last sixty years”
CESIOMAGGIORE. It was the obsession of the Amici della Val Canzoi, that of the burying of the power lines throughout the valley: since Tuesday the current goes underground. On the other hand, Tim is upstream, restoring only the overhead lines. The Amici Val Canzoi group accounts for all this, which reviews the interventions done well and less well done or not yet addressed, the water and geological criticalities that remain and worsen, the construction sites in progress and the restoration of some services, such as the picnic area in Pretòn freed from a landslide. And it also calls on BIM to intervene to replace the outdated pipes of the three public aqueducts with more resistant modern materials, “in order to avoid the continuous breakdowns, road flooding and patching of the road”.
“After a bad 2019, due to the disasters of the Vaia storm and the closure of the refreshment points, the most important works in the Valley of the last 60 years are now underway”, the association begins. «Of particular importance is the implementation of the e-Distribution project, for the undergrounding of the line continued even in the harshest period of winter 2020/21, and now completed. On the other hand, Tim is against the tide: despite the damage suffered by Vaia to the airlines, the company insists on restoring only overhead lines, even where it would be easier to bury them, with obvious environmental damage, in the most evocative places, such as Pian del Lac, Cimole, Bordugo, Fallegana, The Ave ».
Again: «The telephony problem remains: in addition to the fixed telephone at the former 4 Pass, the one in Vrsar has also been removed, where, as in the rest of the Valley, there are network difficulties for mobile telephony, linked to many variables. We should also tackle the problem of coordinating the path signs by the Municipality and the Park, which has been advocated many times ».
Fresh updates from the association also regarding Vrsar where the intervention on the toilets was completed, the roof was fixed, the new external shed was built and the former toll booth was renovated. And the “house for the disabled”, which has been finished for some time, will be inaugurated, barring last-minute surprises. “In the meantime, the usual unknown persons have stolen sanitary equipment in the bathrooms and some tie rods of the easy-to-use walkway, as well as in private properties,” the association recalls.
Who insists: «Will it be decided to install a video surveillance of traffic at the Ave, already requested several times? There are also doubts about the future of Vrsar: where after the purchase, structural deficiencies emerged such as to require a major investment by the Municipality, while it is still not clear what the final destination of the complex will be, taking into account that so far the catering has been insufficient to economic balance “.
In this regard, the group hopes for an active participation of the Park, and a common commitment to the rebirth of the Valley. This cannot be separated from “an overall plan, a medium-term“ Valle Project ”, agreed between administrators and volunteers. It would be enough to answer the question: “How would you like Valcanzoi in a year or maybe ten?”. —
