Linda Caicedo among the three finalists for The Best FIFA award
The Best, an award that is given by the highest body in world football, FIFA, announced
the three finalist players to win the prize. The appearance of the Colombian soccer player Linda Caicedo among those selected, along with the Spanish Aitana Bonmati and Jennifer Hermoso, is striking.
Caicedo has been highlighted in her appearances with the Colombian women’s national team, where just days after turning 19 years old, she has played in three World Cups (U17 World Cup – 2022, U20 World Cup – 2022 and Senior World Cup 2023), in addition to a Copa América in which she was runner-up.
The awards gala will take place on January 15 and will be the eighth version of this award. It should be noted that in the men’s category, those chosen were the Frenchman Kylian Mbappé, Erling Haaland and Lionel Messi.
We will have to wait if Linda Caicedo manages to stay for the first time in Colombian history, with the award for best player in the world.
