The Province of Guangdong Holds Press Conference on Promoting High-Quality Development
On the morning of March 29, the State Council Information Office held a series of press conferences with the theme of “Promoting High-Quality Development”. Wang Weizhong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Governor, introduced the economic and social development of Guangdong province and answered questions from media reporters around the theme of “unswervingly promoting high-quality development in Guangdong and taking the forefront in promoting Chinese-style modernization”.
During the press conference, Wang Weizhong highlighted the importance of focusing on high-quality development and building a new development pattern in order to promote Chinese-style modernization. He emphasized that Guangdong aims to be at the forefront of these efforts and make the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area a strategic fulcrum for the new development pattern.
Wang Weizhong outlined several key strategies for achieving high-quality development in Guangdong. These include shouldering the responsibility of being a major economic power, accelerating the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, promoting new quality productivity, implementing development projects in counties, towns, and villages, enhancing ecological construction, and prioritizing the well-being of the province’s residents.
In addition, Wang Weizhong and other provincial officials discussed various topics of interest to both Chinese and foreign media, such as accelerating the development of new productive forces, attracting foreign investment, green and beautiful ecological construction, and promoting innovation in the province.
