Wang Zilian, Mayor of Changchun, participated in the deliberations of the Green Park delegation at the third session of the 16th Municipal People’s Congress on the 10th. The focus of the session was to review the government work report and discuss plans for the city’s economic and social development.
During the session, Wang Zilian emphasized the importance of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the critical year for achieving the goals and tasks of the “14th Five-Year Plan”. He urged the delegation to give full play to their advantages, tap their potential, and make quick decisions in order to lead the way in Changchun’s economic and social development.
The atmosphere in the venue was lively as delegates unanimously praised the government work report, describing it as truthful, pragmatic, and forward-thinking. Representatives from the delegation, including Cao Guoli, Liu Yigong, Sun Liangjin, Song Changzhe, and Zhu Guangming, put forward opinions and suggestions on various aspects of the city’s development, from technological innovation to urban management and improving people’s livelihood.
Wang Zilian listened attentively to the representatives’ speeches and expressed his appreciation for their clear views and pragmatic suggestions. He promised to carefully study and implement their ideas into government work.
Wang Zilian also acknowledged the achievements of the Green Park and the Automobile Development Zone, both located in the west of Changchun. He urged the delegation to continue their efforts in achieving new breakthroughs in comprehensive revitalization and industrial development.
Emphasizing the need to play a leading role in project construction, Wang Zilian outlined plans to focus on industrial projects, technological transformation, and attracting more upstream and downstream industries. He also stressed the importance of urban construction and management, as well as improving people’s livelihood by developing education, culture, and health services.
