Il 23 Julypreviewed at Giffoni Film Festival will be presented We light yearsteen-drama starring Caroline Hall, Rocco Fasano, Catherine Guzzanti, Fabio Troiano, Adalgisa Manfrida and the singer Laila Al Habash. The film, directed by Titian Russo, will hit theaters on July 27 and among the songs on the soundtrack there is also the original song by the singer-songwriter Aielloavailable on all music platforms starting May 27.

To present the film to the jurors of the Giffoni Film Festivalon July 23, there will be the director Titian Russotogether with Carolina Sala, Rocco Fasano, Laila Al Habash and Aiello. Russo he is known to the public for directing Shame 5a popular teen-drama produced by Netflix, and as in the Italian series, also in We light years he will talk about some of the themes that have made his work famous, universal themes, such as illness, love, family relationships, friendship and social redemption.

We light years will tell the story of Elsa (Caroline Hall), a seventeen-year-old who discovers she has leukemia. To save herself, Elsa needs a marrow transplant, but her only compatible donor is her father whom she never knew. We light years thus it also becomes the coming of age of Elsa, who embarks on a road trip in search of her father. To accompany her, a contemporary of hers, Edo (Rocco Fasano, formerly the protagonist of the second season of Skam Italia and of the film Don’t kill me), recovered from the same disease as Elsa. Or, at least, that’s what she wants you to believe. Catherine Guzzanti e Fabio Troiano play the parents of Elsa, while the singer Laila Al Habash will be Mila, a young woman that Elsa and Edo meet on their journey. To complete the cast Adalgisa Manfrida, in the role of nurse Carla, e Daniel Parisi in that of one of the doctors who are treating Elsa.
