March and April recorded temperatures below the average for the period in Italy and even the beginning of May is showing rather sparkling thermal values for the period: the thermometer struggles to rise due to the frequent storms affecting the mountain areas and part of the Center -North. And from tomorrow the maximums will drop further due to a disturbance that will bring persistent rains.
Lorenzo Tedici, meteorologist of the site www.iLMeteo.it, indicates the possibility that the perturbations are even more than one in a few hours: an unstable area advances between the western Mediterranean and Algeria, while a small cyclone is descending from the North Sea towards the ‘Holland and France. From tomorrow we will be able to witness the Dutch-Algerian clash with widespread rain for 3-4 days. In fact, it seems that the small cold vortex descending from Holland is going to join the Atlantic sack in motion from Algeria to Italy. The latter meteorological figure is also associated with yet another load of Saharan silt so, where it rains, we can have the “desert sand”: this year, atmospheric pollution in the Center-South has often been associated with natural elements such as subtropical powders.
The Dutch-Algerian union, or in other words, the clash between a maritime polar air mass and the air from the Maghreb, could favor intense rains from tomorrow afternoon, more persistent on Emilia Romagna and on the central Italian regions.
