Mannheim. The 100,000th event is taking place today at the Mannheim May Market. Visitors expected. By Tuesday evening, 87,000 people had visited Germany’s largest consumer trade fair on four of the eleven days of the trade fair. On Tuesday, 20,000 people walked through the gates – although according to the rules of the trade fair industry, only paying visitors are considered, not the employees of the 1,100 exhibitors, who also generate sales on the site.

Today is Youth Day at the “Short of Shoulders” event, the joint presentation by the region’s fire departments and rescue services. Several times a day, members of the youth fire brigades, the THW youth and young members of the rescue services demonstrate joint exercises. The BASF factory fire department will also be presenting modern special vehicles and rescue customers from Bergstrasse will be there.
Cooking show with regional specialties
The child-friendly community is the focus of all activities at the city of Mannheim’s stand. There will be a lecture on living wills and power of attorney in the Crafts Forum at 11 a.m. There will be a reading on the cultural stage at 11 a.m. before the Rhein-Neckar Theater performs at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. There will be a reading and listening hour for children at 3 p.m. TV chef Eberhard Braun shows his cooking show with regional specialties in the Halle des Landes at 12 p.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

The Marbach Main and State Stud will be showing classy Arabian horses for the last time in the riding stadium at 1:30 p.m., while there is already a lot going on in the stable tents.
