Rector Peter Riedler steers the bird at full speed against the green pipe and causes it to crash in front of the assembled team. Using electrodes attached to his forearm, in the game called “Flappy Bird” he should have guided the bird safely through the air with his hand movements. But the devices at the new sports research center at the University of Graz measure every movement so precisely that the rector does not find it easy to control. “I just have too much strength in my forearms,” he jokes.
