Who are the owners of Ban100?

The financial entity Ban100 announced some changes and strategies that it has already implemented in 2024 to strengthen its position in the Colombian market in which it has been for 12 years as Credifinanciera, the name with which they began their project and which now They change to Ban100 as a bold and strategic move to give a new look to their new projects and products.

This change in name also brings new declarations of intent, including reaching more places in Colombia, making its contribution to financial inclusion, having a presence in sectors where traditional banking does not have coverage. It should be noted that currently, its network of more than 550 specialized advisors reaches more than 890 municipalities throughout the country.

Another of the bank’s goals is digitization and personalization, in order to reach more Colombians, allowing them from a mobile application to make transfers, check balances and receive service from anywhere.

Finally, Ban100 will launch new products, such as credit cards and profitable savings accounts, focusing on the lowest-income segments of the population.

But who is behind this bank?

Although the company was founded by CIT Capital, today Héctor Chaves is the head of this entity that is now making its way and strengthening its product portfolio with different types of insurance.

“We are expanding much more the type of insurance that all different clients can purchase, we are venturing not only into life insurance, but also funeral, home protection and general insurance,” Chaves told La República in the middle of an interview.

Chaves is an expert in financial structuring, management, acceleration and internationalization of technological and/or knowledge-based projects. He has worked in different organizations such as Helm Bank, Banco Caja Social and has studies from the Universidad de los Andes and the Universidad Externado de Colombia.
