Why did MQM Pakistan change its organizational structure?

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan has restored its new organizational structure by abolishing the post of convenership.

Talking to Independent Urdu, MQM Pakistan leader Farooq Sattar said regarding this organizational structure that the coordination committee had become too big and due to this some problems were also coming.

According to Farooq Sattar, it has been decided by the consensus of the ten-member central committee that Khalid Maqbool should be made the chairman, which will not make any difference in the party.

“We have only changed the position and more changes may be seen in the future which will also form a council committee below the central committee. The Central Committee will look after the affairs of the Cabinet and the Council Committee will look after the affairs of the Assembly.

After the sudden appointment of Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui as the chairman, various questions have started to arise inside and outside the organization, on which journalist Syed Faisal Hussain analyzed and said that the question arises here is whether MQM’s constitution can be quietly amended. has been taken which no one could find out or this decision has been taken with the blessings of powerful people.’

He further said that ‘Supreme Court, which has decided on the constitution of Tehreek-e-Insaaf, will review the constitution of MQM or will it remain silent?’

About this, journalist Sohail Rab says that ‘MQM first dissolved the coordination committee, formed an ad hoc coordination committee, then the ad hoc coordination committee changed into a central committee and now it has become the chairmanship. MQM Pakistan is going towards dictatorship instead of a political party.’

Speaking to Independent Urdu, Sohail Rab said that ‘Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has the power that he can take all decisions directly and can accept or reject the decision of the ten-member central committee.’
