The third session of the 16th Municipal People’s Congress concluded on the 12th with a call to work hard and create a new breakthrough in Changchun’s comprehensive revitalization. The closing meeting was presided over by Zhang Enhui, who emphasized the need to work diligently and energetically to achieve high-quality development and a high-quality life for the city.
During the meeting, several key agendas were completed, including the approval of resolutions on the work report of the Changchun Municipal People’s Government and the economic and social development plan, as well as the 2023 and 2024 budgets. Additionally, Chen Tiezhi was elected as the deputy director of the Municipal People’s Congress Standing Committee.
Zhang Enhui urged all representatives and participating comrades to study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech on revitalizing Northeast China in the new era. He emphasized the need to strengthen the awareness of opportunities and develop a promising and energetic spirit to create a new situation for the comprehensive revitalization of Changchun.
To achieve this, Zhang Enhui outlined several key points. He stressed the importance of firming the political direction, promoting high-quality development, deepening reform and opening up, prioritizing the people’s welfare, and implementing policies with a better work style.
In closing, Zhang Enhui called for unity around the Party Central Committee and the strong leadership of the Provincial Party Committee, emphasizing the need to work hard and accelerate the comprehensive revitalization of Changchun.
The meeting was attended by city leaders who took seats on the rostrum to show support for the discussed agenda, including Wang Zilian, Gao Zhiguo, Sun Jiguang, Sun Hong, and many others.
