CAAGUAZÚ (correspondent) A woman reported that she was the victim of a brutal attack by her partner and lives in fear because she fears being murdered. She said the alleged attacker remains free and apparently would have police protection. The event occurred ten days ago in the Santa Lucía neighborhood of the city of Coronel Oviedo (Caaguazú).
Giovanna Fox pointed out that she is hiding for fear that the alleged perpetrator identified as Gustavo Rodrigo Acosta Fleitas (32), alias “Coco”, will carry out his threat to end her life. “I am a victim of family violence and attempted feminicide. I am asking for help because my attacker is still loose here in the city and I live in secret. “He is obviously having police protection,” she told 1020 AM.
He stated that everyone is aware of what happened, but the Police do not proceed to arrest the accused. “He walks around the city on his motorcycle without his helmet and I live in secret. Since the day I made my complaint, he has an arrest warrant, but the Police do nothing, when I notified them, they said they were going to go see and they didn’t leave,” he complained.
The complainant reported that the act of violence occurred on Thursday, March 14 and to date the aggressor has not been arrested. “He has a veterinarian and until yesterday he was making propaganda, so he makes fun of us and justice,” he said and assured that prosecutor Norma Ortiz and judge Armando Mendoza ordered the arrest the same day the complaint was filed. “Coincidentally, on my daughter’s birthday, she passes in front of the house where I am. And he walks around the city,” she indicated.
The young woman stated that she decided to end the relationship with her partner, but he did not accept the breakup. He said that she has evidence of the blows that the subject gave her and even stated that he entered by climbing the fence and kicked down the door of the house. “Here the National Police is the one that is not doing anything, they are covering it. “He has protection and he is part of the National Police and we also have information that a politician protects him and he is a leader here in the area,”
