Xi Jinping Welcomes the New Year with Non-Party People

On February 7th, Xi Jinping, along with other party and state leaders, gathered at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing to celebrate the Spring Festival of the Year of the Dragon with non-party people. This event was a significant gesture from the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, President of the State, and Chairman of the Central Military Commission to extend greetings and blessings to all democratic parties, federations of industry and commerce, non-party personages, and members of the United Front.

The event was attended by prominent figures such as Wang Huning, Cai Qi, and Ding Xuexiang, who gathered with representatives of various democratic parties, including the Kuomintang Revolutionary Committee, Democratic League, Democratic National Construction Association, Democratic Progressive Party Central Committee, Peasants and Workers Party, Zhigong Party Central Committee, Jiusan Society, Taiwan League Central Committee, and the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce. Former chairmen and vice-chairmen of these organizations were also in attendance.

Hao Mingjin, a representative of the central committees of all democratic parties, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, and non-party personages, delivered a speech, emphasizing the unity and contributions of all the organizations represented.

In his important speech, Xi Jinping highlighted the achievements of the past year and expressed gratitude for the joint efforts in promoting economic recovery and development, hosting international events, responding to natural disasters, and achieving success in various sports events.

Looking towards 2024, Xi Jinping emphasized the need for continued cooperation and support from all democratic parties, federations of industry and commerce, and people without party affiliation in achieving the goals and tasks of the “14th Five-Year Plan.”

He urged the organizations to strengthen institutional confidence, build broad consensus, and enhance political guidance to promote Chinese-style modernization. After the symposium, Xi Jinping and other party and state leaders took photos with the central committees of various democratic parties, old and new leaders of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, and representatives of people without party affiliation.

The event served as a testament to the unity and collaboration between the Communist Party of China and various non-party organizations, showcasing a strong commitment towards collective development and progress.
