During the event, the staff distributed promotional materials and small gifts to the residents of the community and passing citizens, and explained the knowledge of disaster prevention and reduction, further creating a good atmosphere for the whole society to participate in disaster prevention, reduction and relief.
On May 11, the Xiangcheng District Natural Resources Bureau and Punan Middle School carried out an earthquake emergency evacuation drill. The drill site simulated a local earthquake. Punan Middle School immediately activated the emergency plan and organized students to take correct shock-absorbing measures. Under the guidance of the teacher, the students on the first floor were evacuated to the playground in an emergency; Evacuated to the playground. During the whole drill, all departments worked together and cooperated tacitly, and successfully completed the preset subjects. On the same day, experts from the Southern Fujian Geological Brigade were also invited to give a lecture on how to prevent and control geological disasters for teachers and students, and distributed more than 600 brochures and promotional pictures.
On May 10, the Shiting Street Emergency Office and Puwei Central Primary School carried out an emergency drill for earthquake evacuation. The alarm bell rang, and under the command of the teacher, the students hid in the safe triangle area next to the table as quickly as possible, curled up their bodies, and evaded danger on the spot. The second alarm sounded, and the students quickly covered their heads with books and hands, bent down and evacuated to the open and safe playground. After arriving at the playground, each class gathered the whole team and counted the number of people. After confirming that all the students participating in the drill were safe, the safety teacher summarized the earthquake evacuation drill, explained the purpose and significance of the drill, and at the same time popularized self-discipline to teachers and students.
