Andean authorities during the commissioning of the Yguazú Substation.
Last weekend, the construction and interconnection works of the 500 kV Yguazú Substation were successfully completed. Through this work, the technical conditions are already in place that will allow the withdrawal of 100% of the power that by the treaty belongs to Paraguay in the Binational Itaipú. The new Yguazú 500 kV Substation and the 500 kV Itaipú-Yguazú Transmission Line entered service and thus culminates a strategic work for National Sovereignty.
The commissioning of the aforementioned works was attended by Eng. Félix Sosa, president of ANDE, as well as the technical manager, Eng. Miguel Báez, Eng. Esteban Molinas, Director of Distribution, and heads of the Supervision Division of Generation and Transmission of ANDE, and representatives of the contractor companies in charge of the work
The works were carried out within a period of 26 months and through an investment of US$ 103,000,000, financed through the CAF – Development Bank of Latin America, through LPI 1542/2019.
The official inauguration of these works is scheduled for next Friday, July 14.
