Yinchuan Railway Department Transported Over 300,000 Passengers During Tomb Sweeping Day Holiday

During the recent Tomb Sweeping Day holiday, the Yinchuan passenger section of China Railway Lanzhou Bureau Group Co., Ltd. transported a total of 347,200 passengers, with high-speed trains alone carrying 209,000 passengers. This year, high-speed rail has become the preferred mode of travel for local residents during the Qingming Festival.

The passenger flow during the holiday was mainly in short- and medium-distance directions such as Xi’an, Qingyang, Luoyang, Zhongwei, Guyuan, and Lanzhou. To meet the travel needs of people commemorating sacrifices, going out to enjoy flowers, and visiting relatives and friends, the Yinchuan Railway Department took measures such as adding hard-seat carriages to regular-speed trains and resuming the operation of three pairs of EMU trains on peak lines.

Additionally, on April 5, Lantie International Travel Service and Ningxia Railway International Travel Service launched the “Rim West Train Tour” Hong Kong, Zhuhai, and Macao tourist train to provide an alternative choice for holiday travelers.

To ensure the safety of passenger transportation during the holiday, the Yinchuan Passenger Transport Section arranged managers at all levels to conduct guarantee inspections and on-site operation guidance for each train and line. The Yinchuan Railway Station also added personnel to real-name verification gates and security check positions during peak passenger flow hours to improve the speed of passenger entry and prevent congestion.

Overall, the Yinchuan Railway Department successfully transported over 300,000 passengers during the Tomb Sweeping Day holiday, showcasing their dedication to providing safe and efficient travel services for the public.
