At the request of the public prosecutor’s office, the police issued an investigation notice after a young woman became the victim of an attempted manslaughter in Temse on Friday, January 19.
The victim left on her scooter from Temse station through the center to Hoogkamerstraat. The suspect, also on a scooter, began chasing the victim around 6:40 p.m. At SG Boereboomstraat number 7, the suspect pushed the victim off her scooter. The suspect threw several punches in the victim’s face and grabbed her by the throat.
The victim was able to break free, after which the suspect fled towards the N16. There he rode on the cycle path to Hoogkamerstraat, which he followed until he turned right onto Eigenlostraat, where he was last spotted.

Camera images
As part of this investigation, the police are looking for the identity of the suspect and camera images (surveillance cameras, dashcams or doorbell cameras) that show the suspect on January 19, after 6:40 PM.
The suspect is approximately 30 years old, 1.70 meters tall and of medium build. He has dark, curly hair. At the time of the incident he was wearing a black jacket and a gray sweater with a hood. He was carrying a light-colored and black backpack. The man moved on a dark electric scooter with a low front light at the front wheel and blue LED lighting under the floorboard.
