Xi’an News Network News on July 16, with the announcement of Jia Kun, director of Shaanxi Wushu Sports Management Center, the “Yatai Cup” 2022 Shaanxi Free Fighting Championship kicked off, with more than 400 athletes from 35 fight clubs across the province. There will be fierce competition around the champions of all levels.

Jia Kun, Director of Shaanxi Wushu Sports Management Center, Xiao Guanji, Deputy Director, Liang Yun, Chairman of Shaanxi Fighting Association and other leading guests, as well as representatives of participating teams, athletes and referees attended the opening ceremony. Director Jia Kun said that he hoped that the Shaanxi Fighting Association would select and form the Shaanxi Free Fighting Team through this championship, and represent Shaanxi Province in the upcoming 2022 National Youth Free Fighting Championships, making new contributions to Shaanxi Competitive Sports!

It is understood that this tournament is hosted by Shaanxi Provincial Wushu Sports Management Center, Shaanxi Provincial Wushu Association, and Shaanxi Provincial Fighting Association, undertaken by Xi’an Daqin Sports Culture Industry Operation Management Co., Ltd., Shaanxi Provincial Stadium, Shaanxi Daqin Fighting Club, Xi’an Iron Eagle Guard Security Co., Ltd. This championship is also the fourth consecutive year that the Shaanxi Provincial Fighting Association has hosted the highest-level free fighting competition in the province. The competition consists of two groups: the adult group and the youth group. The adult group has 8 levels for men and women, and the youth group has 9 levels for men and women. The top three teams in the total score will be given 5,000 yuan, 3,000 yuan, and 1,000 yuan in cash respectively. Awards, medals and certificates will be awarded to the top three at each level.

Compared with last year, the number of participating units and registrations for this tournament has greatly exceeded that of the 2021 tournament. In order to improve the safety of the competition and stimulate the enthusiasm of young athletes to participate in combat training, this year’s competition has increased the participation levels of the youth group from 8 to 9, and the selection ratio of the best athletes of the youth group has been increased from 10% to 30%. The athletes and teams participating in the competition are all registered and managed by the Shaanxi Fighting Association, and the training period is not less than two years. The entire event lasts for four days, and all competitions will end on July 19.

The reporter saw at the scene that the young athletes threw their fists and kicks in the competition, were not afraid of strong players, showed their level and style in the competition, reflected a good style of martial arts, and presented a splendid fighting feast to the audience. “I’m Liang Guocan from the Flying Tiger Muay Thai Club. I’m 8 years old this year. Today is my first time participating in a competition. I used to cry a lot, but after learning how to fight, I became a brave man.” the reporter said.

Although Wang Ziwen from Daqin Fighting Club in Shaanxi is only 8 years old, he has studied fighting for 3 years and has participated in five or six competitions. This year is the third time he has participated in the Shaanxi Free Fighting Championships. He was very excited after winning the game just now. He told reporters: “I like fighting sports very much. It has trained me to bear hardships and stand hard work, and it has taught me that I must persevere in what I love and never give up.”
