70 years of Antognoni, Florence dedicates an exhibition to him – Football

Illustrious birthdays tomorrow for Italian football. Roberto Pruzzo will turn 69, but above all it will be the 70th anniversary of Giancarlo Antognoni, world champion in Spain 1982 (“but one of the two regrets of my career was not having been able to play in the final”, he recalled in recent days ) and above all an absolute idol of the Fiorentina fans, the team he has always played for, apart from his beginnings in Umbria’s Juventina and then in Asti, and of which he will forever be a symbol.

So from next Tuesday, 2 April, and until Thursday 4 April, in the Libero Beghi room in Villa Arrivabene, home of Quartiere 2 in Florence, the new exhibition in honor of Antognoni will be on display, “on the occasion of the 70 years of the Captain of the Fiorentina”, as written in a note. It will be a real personal ‘hall of fame’ of the Viola champion: from stickers to historical shirts, from photographs to magazines, from gadgets to toys dedicated to him.
