A great second place overall for Denis Mezzacasa at the 44th edition of the Cividale – Castelmonte time trial. The driver from Agordino, aboard his Renault Formula Tatuus, continues his great season, also in the classic one, organized by the Red White Scuderia and valid for the Italian Mountain Speed Trophy, for the Central European Championship, for the Slovenian and Austrian Championship. and Friuli.
«I would never have expected an absolute second place and a first in the 2000 class at Cividale Castelmonte», Mezzacasa commented, «indescribable emotions and satisfactions in a race that has always been unlucky for me, even for championship points. There were 179 drivers in the Friulian race (131 modern cars and 48 historic cars).
As in 2013, the race was won as expected by Diego Degasperi on an Osella Fa30. The Trentino rider imposed himself in both heats, stopping the time trial with a time of 6’10”67. Third place overall for Giuseppe Torrente, third on Radical Sr3 Evo.
Excellent test also for Alex Ferè and his Honda Civic N2000. For him it was the first time in Cividale and where he had to collect points for the championship. In the end came a second place in the n2000 class and the title of TIVM North absolute champion N and N2000. Ferè also enters the final in Orvieto on 24 October, with the Salita della Castellana.
Another belluno on the shields the veteran Fabrizio Vettorel, which takes his Peugeot 106 to the top of the N1600 class.
