In the final, Mr. Signoretto’s Castion surrenders. Third place to Fulgor which beats the “cousins” of Tambre
The Alpago Memorial Trophy remains at home again this year, the classic quadrangular at the end of August that took place at the facilities of the mountain community of Puos d’Alpago.
The Alpago memorial, strongly desired by the organizers, recalls four people, Ivano Canei, Lauro Funes Nova, Roberto Bona and Samary De Barba, who have done so much for the yellow-green club and who have left a fond memory among managers and players, as he recalled the sporting director Fulvio Basso during the final awards ceremony.
In addition to the home team, engaged in the first category, Castion, Tambre and Fulgor Farra of the second category faced each other on the pitch, in matches of a single half of 45 minutes.
In the first match between Castion and Fulgor, the Castionese team took the lead in the 10th minute with a goal by the young Cibien, while the equalizer arrived in the 20th minute with Padovan’s goal for Fulgor Farra, thanks to a deviation from Doro. The game continues in balance until the decisive penalty, awarded by the referee on a clear foul in the penalty area, put in the net by Pontin.
The second semifinal is a derbt between Alpago and Mr. Sovilla’s Tambre. The hosts took the lead in the 15 ‘with a diagonal from Anzolut, with the doubling reaching the 35’, again by the number 17 alpagoto. Gaggion’s goal follows at 40 ‘, on Polito’s assist.
The final for the third and fourth place therefore sees Fulgor Farra and Tambre face off. The red and white, with numerous defections in formation and the preparation started on Monday, took the lead in the 10th minute with Padovan bomber, who doubled in the 25th minute thanks to an assist from Bortoluzzi. The attempts of the Tambre to come back are useless, looking for the mirror of the goal several times in the final part of the game.
The final between Castion and Alpago starts immediately with a different pace. The yellow-green, with less than two weeks of training on their shoulders, put the defense of Castion in difficulty on several occasions but after the expiry of the 45 ‘it will be necessary to resort to penalties to decree the final victory of the home team.
The alpagoto coach Andrea Gallonetto is satisfied, aware that August football must be handled with caution. “I am aware that I have a good group, which will have to be evaluated over time, despite some important absences”.
The lead is in the first round of the Cup on 5 September.
